Five Star Wader Review From Montana Sporting Journal
We had to take notice and post about the great gear review in Montana Sporting Journal's Geared Up section of their March/April issue. Here's what they had to say:
"One of our reviewers, who will remain anonymous, wouldn't stop talking about how great he looked in the CPS wader. Fortunately our testers realize that it's not all about how they look, unanimously reporting that they remained comfortable in a variety of conditions ranging from snow squalls in Paradise Valley (thanks to the fleece-lined hand warmer pocket) to balmy days spent hiking in Beartrap Canyon (where breathability was the word of the day). The wader emerged from our testing unscathed, looking no worse for the wear. The upper is constructed of 4-layer PU Taslan while the lower leg and knee have 5 layers of love. To make the best use of built in gravel guards, pair the wader up with the CPS wading boot for a durable, affordable and attractive combo."

Kathleen Wagner Wins FFR Casting Competition for Charity
Some of the best anglers from around the country took part in the exciting ORVIS-American Angler Fly Casting Competition at this year's Fly Fishing Retailer Show in September. Team Red was represented by Cathy Beck and Jeff Wagner and Kathleen Wagner. Participants of the Men's and Women's divisions were vying for $3750 to donate to a conservation effort of their choice.
Kathleen really showed her stuff and came away with top honors in the Women's division. She blew the field away with her performance in the Accuracy casts, where casters target 5 Accuracy hoops placed at 20, 30, 40, and 60 feet with an Obstacle Target placed directly behind the first 20ft. target. Not to downplay her distance cast, which was well over 80 feet.
Congratulations Kathleen! We're proud of you!

Redington Garners Field & Stream Editors Pick Product Recommendation
When it comes to outdoor magazines, Field & Stream is the crème de la crème. Dave Hurteau, a field editor for the publication, gave the Redington Crosswater outfits a big thumbs up in the most recent issue (July ’07).
He writes, “ Designed and priced for beginners, Redington’s Crosswater Complete Fly Fishing Outfit isn’t kids stuff. The quality of the large-arbor, disc drag reel is rare on entry level outfits, and the graphite rod casts smoothly. It comes loaded with backing, fly line, and leader. I'd happily use the 5-weight setup that I tested."

Team Red Wagner Succeeds in the Teva Mountain Games Team Red's Jeff Wagner represented Redington in the 2008 Teva Mountain Games, which took place in Vail, Colorado May 30 - June 3.
Jeff received a gold medal for landing the biggest fish and a bronze medal in the fishing competition. He said he “barely lost for first or second by a couple of fish I lost and I was second in both rounds of casting competition.” During the competition, Jeff used a SS Super Sport 9' 5wt and a CDL 5/6 reel. Way to go Jeff!
